My speech

My speech topic is pets. I chose this topic because it is a important topic. 

When I presented my speech I felt scared.  What I did well was I was confident. What I could have done better was talk louder. 

Here is my speech:

Have you ever wondered why pets are the best? Pets are animals that people look after and they live with people at their houses. So please listen to my three reasons why pets are the best.   

Firstly pets are good because they can keep you company when you're sad or lonely. You can cuddle them and if you live alone you can have a pet to look after and your pet can look after you too. 

Secondly pets are fun to play with. You can play fetch with a dog. You can shake a bell and a cat will chase you. You can ride a horse. Then when you are having fun your pets will join you. 

Finally pets guard you so you feel safe around your house and no one breaks into your house or tries to rob you. Dogs will bark if they see a stranger or hear a noise around your house.

I believe that people should have pets and look after their pets. Pets are the best!  By Riah
